Performance
This new sedan satisfies both performance-oriented shoppers and daily commuters because of the powertrain options it brings along. The base engine is a 188-horsepower turbo-four, which will suit daily commuters. The optional turbo-four with 302 horsepower delivers the needed accelerating power. Both powertrains are mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch and front-wheel drive.
With the standard turbo-four, you'll get fuel efficiency ratings of 35 mpg on the highway and 24 mpg in the city. On the other hand, the optional engine records 29 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg in the city. Opting for the all-wheel-drive system will sink the ratings in each segment. This sedan can also cruise on uneven roads swiftly, thanks to the well-tuned shocks that do the work of absorbing bumps and potholes. Less body lean is experienced while taking corners due to the responsive steering wheel.
Exterior
This new sedan looks stunning no matter what angle you view it. The new Merced-Benz A-Class features deep-tinted window glass, LED headlights with high beam assist, a front grille with a silver logo inserted in the middle, and adjustable side-view mirrors. Each trim runs on 18-inch wheels and is featured with a panoramic sunroof. An optional body styling kit adds chrome tailpipes and a night package with black exterior accents for more desirable features.
Interior
When you pip in the interior, you'll witness a high-end cabin featuring upscale elements, from the well-crafted dashboard to the leather seats, and the seats are five in both front and second row. The seats are well-cushioned for more support while cruising in any given place. Taller adults will find both rows comfortable not only because of the seats but also ample legroom and headroom. Air filtration, engine immobilizer, cupholders, footrest for the driver, ambient interior lighting, and a complete suede headliner are some of the top-notch features in the interior. Only the front seats can be offered with power adjustments and massaging functions. The LATCH connectors and a tether anchor are also standard, and they come in handy when you want to develop a child car seat in the second row.
Technology
The MBUX infotainment system comes standard, which is common for most Mercedes models. The system is accompanied by plenty of tech features that also pay tribute to its attraction. You can either have a 7-inch or 10-inch touch screen at the center of the dashboard. With the 7-inch center display, you'll only get HD radio, Bluetooth® connection, Android Auto, voice command app, and Apple CarPlay as the standard apps. The optional 10-inch touchscreen comes with the same apps mentioned before, plus satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and an in-dash navigation system that is beneficial when cruising in unfamiliar places.
There are more tech features to check out for more convenience, including wireless device charging, a 10-inch digital gauge cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, and remote start.
