Sprinter vans are available in cargo, passenger, and crew configurations. All three setups come in 144-inch and 170-inch wheelbase lengths. The Sprinter van comes standard with a turbodiesel four-cylinder engine that generates 170 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. For more muscle, you can opt for a high-output twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 211 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. When properly equipped, Sprinter vans can tow up to 7,500 pounds and haul up to 6,812 pounds of payload.
Metris Vans
Metris vans are small passenger or cargo vans with best-in-class towing and payload ratings. They're also easier to maneuver than full-size vans. Cargo vans have either a 126- or a 135-inch wheelbase, but passenger van versions only come in a 126-inch wheelbase. All Metris van variants are powered by 208-horsepower four-cylinder engines that make 258 pound-feet of torque. When properly equipped, a Metris van can tow up to 5,000 pounds. It also has a cargo hold of up to 199 cubic feet and a payload capacity of up to 2,502 pounds.
