Exciting details have been circulating lately in regards to the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class. With its official North American International Auto Show unveiling just around the corner in January, we can't help but search everywhere for details that we can share with the greater Shrewsbury, MA area. Luckily a teaser video was recently unveiled by the automaker, giving us a few details to hold us over until its debut.

For starters, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class will introduce the MRA platform, which will then be introduced to the lineup again with the unveiling of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class. It was also designed specifically to appear different than the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class with a frame that is longer. This isn't the only adjustment being made to the model's exterior either.

It will also feature an enlarged wheelbase, while still having an overall vehicle weight that is lighter than the previous model. Its exterior is best described as being similar to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, with a grille comparable to that of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class .

As far as its performance goes, it will offer quite a range of options both old and new. For example, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG model will sport a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 that can crank out 525 horsepower. Other offerings will include hybrid options, standard rear-wheel drive and a variety of powertrains that allow drivers to really customize their performance.

Moving on to the interior of the vehicle, it will be enhanced with advanced, easier to use technologies like the largest display screen in its class along with more luxurious materials.
