As the Detroit Auto Show has recently wrapped up, here at Mercedes-Benz of Shrewsbury we can now take a closer look at the details regarding the redesigned Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The new and improved luxury sedan will be bringing new innovative technology, efficiency and power to the new Mercedes-Benz lineup.
Starting with the vehicle's enhanced power, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model in particular features a 5.5-liter AMG Biturbo V8 which generates 557 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. To give you an idea of how much power this model has, it can accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 186 mph.
The luxury sedan also sports a standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. This allows the vehicle to have maximum traction control as power is evenly distributed to all four wheels, rather than just the two rear wheels.
The German automaker is predicting this may be the most fuel efficient and powerful model in its class, however nothing can be confirmed until official EPA ratings are determined.
Highlights from the exterior of the Mercedes-Benz E Class include a "twin blade" radiator grille and "A-wing" in the AMG front fascia . The overall design gives it a modernized sporty look.
