With all of the upgraded technology that is being incorporated into new Mercedes-Benz models, we certainly have a lot to look forward to. Especially when considering the automaker's recent announcement that it is choosing Garmin's award winning navigation system to include in its future in-dash infotainment systems. Gone are the days when you have to attach a separate navigation device to the inside of your windshield! Now all of these convenient features will be rolled into one.

Drivers in the greater Shrewsbury, MA area and beyond can expect to see this full integration become completed within the next four years. What's so unique about the addition of Garmin to the system, is that not only will drivers be able to experience an easy to use navigation system on the in-dash display, but they will also receive next turn information on a second screen located behind the steering wheel.

Navigation will be controlled by the system's rotary controller, or for a safe driving experience it can be activated by voice command. In addition, the system will include Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) which offers extra vehicle positioning aid to drivers. By combining the ingenuity of Garmin navigation with the user-friendly functions already present in the Mercedes-Benz infotainment center, this system will provide drivers with luxury and convenience like they have never seen before.

Here at Mercedes-Benz of Shrewsbury serving the Boston, Worchester and Natick areas, we are excited to continue following these future developments. Be sure to keep checking in with our blog so we can keep you updated as to when this infotainment system will become available. Until then, feel free to stop by and check out the technology that is currently available and take a model out for a spin!
