If you fancy yourself a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast, then you've likely already heard of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA). The largest of the iconic luxury brand's exclusive groups, it's preparing to throw an automotive party the likes of which have never been seen before.
Sound like a bit of hyperbole? We here at Mercedes-Benz of Shrewsbury can assure you it's not. Starting at the end of this month, Mercedes-Benz Club of America is planning to turn the Arizona Biltmore from a serene and comfortable resort into the largest gathering of Mercedes-Benz fanatics the country has ever seen. Officially dubbed StarFest 2012, the event is open to enthusiasts of all ages. The only requirement: a love for everything Mercedes-Benz.
Bud Cloninger, StarFest 2012 Committee Chair, exclaims, "We're betting this year's StarFest will be the biggest and best in MBCA history...It promises to be the ultimate confluence of Mercedes-Benz horsepower, celebrity star power and some of the most impassioned Mercedes-Benz drivers in the world."1
Aside from offering attendees a chance to see some classic Mercedes-Benz models up close and in person, StarFest 2012 will also feature the following:
- Launch of the MBCA "Safe Drivers, Safe Families" teen driving program
- Real-life acceleration runs and time trials
- Autocross competitions
- Learning the art of defensive driving
