Here in the United States, you're like already familiar with what German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz has to offer...but what about overseas in a country like India?
In the fast-growing automotive marketplace that is India, there quite a few of the new Mercedes-Benz models we know and love at Mercedes-Benz of Shrewsbury are actually available. Such examples include the C-Class, E-Class, and S-Class. There are, however, some other models that we've never seen before as well.
Case in point: the Mercedes-Benz B-Class. A larger hatchback model that's typically sold in Europe, Mercedes-Benz has altered the well-known model to meet the specific demands of the Indian automotive marketplace.
For instance, the version of the B-Class that the iconic German automaker plans to sell in India runs on a 1.6-liter gasoline engine. It provides the thrill of driving a Mercedes-Benz model in a vehicle that's more aimed at commuting in the bustling city streets. Meanwhile, the safety that you've come to expect from the brand is present in the form of seven airbags and preventative technologies such as tire pressure monitoring - the ones that keep your trips to our Mercedes-Benz service departments limited to routine maintenance and oil changes.
The big question on everyone's mind, of course, is whether or not we may see a modified version of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class here in the United States some day. While the form factor could certainly be appealing, we'd venture to guess that the company would want to opt to place a slightly larger engine in it in order to satisfy our love of Mercedes-Benz and the performance the brand provides on our open roads. That said, we certainly wouldn't rule it out of the equation.
