As many industry analysts will tell you, demand has been switching from large SUVs to smaller more fuel efficient cars. Mercedes-Benz continues to break convention with their all new GLK-Class. Even though it is a large car consumers are still continuing to drive these cars.
Mercedes-Benz's thoughts are that instead of shrinking down their model line they will work to make the cars a better driving experience and above all, better fuel economy. From the outside of the up and coming 2013 GLK350 and GLK350 4MATIC you wouldn't be able to tell that these cars are speed demons. With a zero to 60 in only 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph, this car is not your average grocery getter.
Just goes to show, big can be quick, too.
As far as fuel economy goes, Mercedes-Benz strategically integrated a new, efficient engine into the mix for the 2013 model year. And, to ensure drivers, fully realize its fuel-sipping tendencies, they mated it to a new ECO start-stop system. If you think you know ultra-efficient urban driving, you don't know the2013 GLK-Class.
