Mercedes-Benz is one of the only manufacturers that combines ultimate luxury with incredible performance. With every project they assume, their mission is to achieve the impossible. And, it's with this tenacious drive that the lauded German automaker set upon redesigning the SLK55.

Engineered with a new AMG 5.5-liter V8, the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz SLK55 pumps out a determined 415 hp and memorable 398 lb.-ft. of torque, providing enough power to challenge any speed demon. These numbers make it the most powerful Mercedes-Benz SLK55 ever made. And, we have to be honest... Mercedes-Benz of Shrewsbury is looking forward to seeing it show up its closest market rivals.

How does the power of the redesigned Mercedes-Benz SLK55 translate into acceleration time? Well, to get from zero  miles per hour to 60 miles per hour, it would take the gazelle-like sports car a mere 4.5 seconds. Count it out. It's practically a blink of an eye. Another vital stat you might be interested in is top speed. The SLK55 is electronically limited at 155 miles per hour.

In addition to more power, the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 gains a suite of performance and aesthetic updates for the 2012 model year. These include sports suspension with Direct-Steer system, Torque Vectoring Brakes, three-stage ESP, AMG high-performance braking system, AMG light alloy wheels, exclusive AMG spoiler lip, and signature AMG double chrome-plated twin tailpipes.
